Pictures at an Exhibition

Pictures at an Exhibition was composed by the Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky.  The piece describes a visit to an exhibition of paintings by Victor Hartmann, a friend of the composer.  Mussorgsky wrote a piece of music to describe each picture, and imitate its atmosphere.
